Bayer Leverkusen 4-4 Roma: Javier Hernandez brace not enough for host

Both sides were guilty of squandering two goal leads in a Champions League encounter which produced plenty of drama

Bayer Leverkusen and Roma played out an entertaining 4-4 draw in Germany on Tuesday night.

Javier Hernandez scored twice in the opening 20 minutes to get the hosts off to a dream start, but the Italian side were level before the break courtesy of a brace from Daniele De Rossi.

Rudi Garcia's side then looked to be on course for all three points when Miralem Pjanic and Iago Falque helped them into a two goal lead with 10 minutes remaining.

However, late goals from Kevin Kampl and Admir Mehmedi ensured the posts grabbed a share of the spoils. (GOAL)
