Dynamo Kyiv 0-0 Chelsea: Mourinho's men held to a goalless draw

The Premier League champions failed to take any points from their European away trip as they lose touching distance with Porto at the top of Group G after a goalless draw

Chelsea’s poor start to the season continued in Ukraine on Tuesday as Jose Mourinho’s men failed to break down a resilient Dynamo Kyiv team despite twice hitting the woodwork.

The Blues controlled much of the possession throughout the first period, with the best chance falling to Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic as he glided past two defenders but could not hit the target after arriving in the box.

Cesc Fabregas tested the fingertips of Kyiv goalkeeper Olexandr Shovkovskiy from distance after the interval but the hosts stood firm despite consistent pressure to take a share of the points. (GOAL)
