The winger was interviewed by Trans World Sport as a young boy and spoke of his desire to play in England, France or Spain after his mother prevented a move to Barcelona
On Monday we brought you Luis Figo's dodgy fashion choices from 1992 and now an old interview with a 12-year-old Erik Lamela has resurfaced thanks to Twitter... and it's quite a sight.
Popular sport programme Trans World Sport visited Lamela and his family in 2004. At the time, the future Argentina international was being courted by Barcelona after scoring 120 goals for his amateur side.
However, Lamela's mother refused to let him move to Spain and he subsequently stayed with River Plate. In the interview the Tottenham star talks about his desire to one day play in England, France or Spain.
The video claims Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain were all linked with Lamela at the time of broadcast, but the winger eventually left his homeland for Italy when he joined Roma in 2011, before moving to Tottenham two years later.
