BATE 0-2 Barcelona: Rakitic on fire for Barcelona

The Croatian midfielder was an early substitute for the Blaugrana but made an impact with a pair of sensational finishes, giving his side three valuable points

A brilliantly-taken double from Ivan Rakitic finally broke down BATE's resolve in the second half, as Barcelona prevailed 2-0 in Belarus.

The midfielder came off the bench early on for Sergi Roberto and was the key to a solid Champions League win, striking twice after the break.

Barcelona dominated throughout the 90 minutes but lacked the poise in front of goal to break through early, while BATE formed a formidable obstacle with some stout defending before Rakitic found a way through.  (GOAL)
