Gambo Mohammed returns for Pillars against Nasarawa United

The Sai Masu Gida forward is back for the Kano based outfit after staying on the sideline for several months owing to a damage suffered in his side’s robbery attack

Gambo Mohammed will stage a return in Kano Pillars' team when they face Nasarawa United in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League encounter.

The forward has been out of action since March suffering from gun shot injuries in his side's attack by men of the underworld on their way to honour a league game against Heartland.

Confirming this to Goal, club's media officer Idris Malikawa said the Super Eagles forward will make his first league appearance of the season against the Lafia based side at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

"Gambo (Mohammed) is back and will be available for our match against Nasarawa United. Coach Baba Ganaru has enlisted him for the game against Nasarawa on Sunday," team's media officer Idris Malikawa told Goal.

"As you know, he is one of the fans' favorites and they have missed him so much and can't wait to see him on the pitch.

"Gambo has told us he is fit and ready to play. We are happy to have him back and believe his return will help the team's title ambition," he concluded.

Gambo's return against the Solid Miners serves as big boost for Kano Pillars as they continue their desperate chase to win the NPFL title. They are fifth on the table. [GOAL]
