PSG stars excited by imminent Di Maria arrival

The Manchester United winger is expected to complete a move to Laurent Blanc's side in the coming days and Lucas Moura and Marquinhos feel he will give them a boost

Paris Saint-Germain stars Lucas Moura and Marquinhos have spoken of their excitement about the imminent arrival of Angel Di Maria from Manchester United.

The Argentina international, who has been fined two weeks’ wages for failing to report for the club’s pre-season tour, is close to a move to Laurent Blanc’s side.

Lucas Moura believes the former Real Madrid star will give his side the boost they need to win the Champions League for the first team

“He's an unbelievable player. He's going to help the team very much,” he said. "It's better for PSG to have him. We already have a great team but when great new players arrive, it's even better.

"Of course he will help us in the Champions League. It's the title we want to win. We've never won it. It's our objective and our dream too.

"We're going to work hard this season to win this title and I really think we can do it."

Marquinhos also praised the 27-year-old who is expected to complete a deal worth a reported €62 million (£44m) in the coming days after just one season at Old Trafford.

"He's a very good player. He has a lot of qualities. He had a good Copa America. I'm sure that every player who joins us is going to increase the level of the team,” he added.
