Vincent Enyeama yet to hit Super Eagles camp

The LOSC Lille goalkeeper is the remaining Europe-based player expected in the Nigeria squad ahead of Thursday’s trip to Dar es Salaam

Despite a deadline of Monday, August 31 for all Super Eagles to hit camp for their trip to Tanzania, captain Vincent Enyeama has yet to arrive for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

According to Team Coordinator Patrick Pascal, all the invited players have already reported at the Bolton White Apartment Camp of the team.

“Russia-based Ahmed Musa came in [Tuesday] evening and even trained. But the only player we are still expecting is the team captain Vincent Enyeama. The chief coach Sunday Oliseh expects him to report to camp unfailingly [on Wednesday] morning,” Pascal told Goal at 8.30pm on Tuesday.

The Eagles are expected to train morning and afternoon on Wednesday before departing for the match in Dar es Salaam.

The team is expected to travel via a chattered flight on Thursday.

18 foreign-based professional players were invited by the Eagles Coach while five home-based players were also picked to join the team for the battle of Dar es Salaam. [GOAL]
