Both Manchester United and Liverpool new boys have looked good early this season, but who has been statistically more impressive?
Two right-backs at Manchester United and Liverpool are among the Premier League stars who have impressed early this season.
The campaign is just two games in, but Matteo Darmian and Nathaniel Clyne have been showing there is little reason the mourn the respective departures of Rafael da Silva and Glen Johnson. [HITC SPORT]
Both are yet to concede a goal in the Premier League, with United and Liverpool each recording two 1-0 victories a piece.
Darmian so far has been the better of the two, outranking Clyne in a number of key areas.
He has made more clearances per game, won a higher number of tackles, recorded a higher pass completion rate, and won more duels per game.
The progress of the two will be interesting to track over the course of the season, Darmian's especially to see if he can keep up with the strong start he has made.
Clyne has several seasons experience in English football already, and has been a standout player for Southampton in recent seasons.
So for Darmian to come straight in from Torino and look so adept early on is a real positive for United fans, to know that despite deficiencies elsewhere in the team, they may have solved the dilemma regarding their right-back spot. [HITC SPORT]
DARMIAN OR CLYNE? WHO HAS PERFORMED BETTER SO FAR?
