The Borno Army were held to a barren draw by Paul Aigbogun's men who boosted their title chase in Wednesday's NPFL match at the Kastina Township Stadium
El Kanemi Warriors suffered a setback in their quest to return to the top half of the table after they played out a goalless draw against Warri Wolves in a Week 24 clash on Wednesday.
It was a tale of no victor, no vanquished as the hosts failed to capitalise on the dismissal of one of their opponent's players to nick the maximum points at the Kastina Township Stadium.
In the opening moments, El Kanemi started brightly with great intent to avenge their horrible first leg 5-0 massacre and seemed heavily favoured to have an easy go against Warri Wolves.
However, It was the visitors who increased their confidence despite being without their best arsenal as they showed a glimpse of their best game.
Both parties failed to produce a goal before the first 45 minutes was brought to a halt as they had equal share of possession.
In the second half, coach Aigbogun saw his men reduced to 10 after illustrious midfielder ikechukwu Ibenegbu was sent off in the 69th minute.
Sadly, El Kanemi had limited fire-power to take advantage of Wolves with several efforts for a winner hitting the rock allowing the visitors pick an important away point.
El Kanemi Warriors have 31 points while Warri Wolves accrued 41 points. [GOAL]
