7'Brady and Hoolahan try to combine down the left-hand side, but a pass from the former runs narrowly out of play. Neil appears to be a little irritated on the sideline already, despite the Canaries being able to grab this game by the scruff of the neck immediately. Sunderland look nervous.
5'Coates is forced to poke away an early cross from the left by Brady, with Sunderland coming under pressure early on. The Black Cats look rushed in possession and very limited at the back. Advocaat appears to have a side set up to battle, rather than keep hold of the ball. Kaboul appears to be deliberately hiding behind his man rather than asking for a touch.
3'Norwich are immediately looking to get on the front foot and dominate the ball, but Dorrans is penalised for a tug on Lens' shirt. Kaboul rattles a terrible clearance into Hoolahan, before the Frenchman shows his nerves again to try and hoof the ball down the line. Not a composed start, by any stretch.
