The hosts would aim to widen the title gap against the reigning champions in Wednesday's NPFL Week 24 clash in Aba
Enyimba welcome Kano Pillars in a Nigeria Professional Football League Week 24 encounter on Wednesday.
Coach Kadiri Ikhana's men would aim to record a massive win against the Masu Gida who desire to upstage their hosts to boost their title winning chances.
Last Sunday, Enyimba pulled off their fifth away draw of the season in a 1-1 draw at Bayelsa United, while Kano Pillars recorded their biggest and 10th victory of the season with a 4-1 masscare of 3SC.
The clash which is likely to provide a clearer picture on which team wins the league at the end of the season. Interestingly, both sides will be meeting exactly four months after they met in Kano with the reigning champions earning a narrow 1-0 victory in Kano.
Pillars have never won any game in their last eight visits. On goal scoring record, Pillars have netted 21 goals in their last 17 games - one better than Enyimba, but the hosts have scored 19 times at home against their visitors' 14.
The encounter will no doubt serve a big title test for both veteran tactician Kadiri Ikhana and Baba Ganaru as they desperately aim to brighten their title destiny.
Enyimba are second with 42 points from 24 games, while title holders Kano Pillars have 37 points from same matches. [GOAL]
