Nigeria U23 hammer Amakson Academy 3-0 to send warning signal to Congo

Samson Siasia’s lads wrapped up preparations for their game against the Red Devils by defeating the non-league side on Wednesday

Nigeria U23 defeated Amakson Football Academy 3-0 in their last warm up game before departing for Pointe Noire where they face Congo U23 in an African U23 Championship qualifier.
Goals from Kingsley Sokari, Umar Aminu and Usman Mohammed were all the Dream Team VI needed to subdue the amateur side in Abuja.

Esperance new signing Sokari drew the first blood in the 55th minute before Taraba FC skipper Mohammed doubled his side’s advantage in the 70th minute.

It was the turn of Aminu to get on the scorer’s sheet after providing assists to the goals earlier scored.

A draw for Siasia’s team against Claude LeRoy’s side in Pointe Noire will see them through to the 2015 edition of the African U23 Championship which serves as Rio 2016 Olympics.

The first leg in Nigeria ended 2-1 in favour of Nigeria.
